Purchase, NYThis role sits within the Strategy & Execution function on the WM Platforms Analytics team which across the Platforms Organization delivers scalable data, analytics and reporting solutions that unlock insights and accelerate decision making. This requires an individual with strong data modeling and analytical skills, along with the ability to visualize data in a clear and concise manner. WM Platforms consists of nine sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution. Business Control & Support, and the Chief Operating Office.What you’ll do in the role:Translate business needs into data and reporting requirements that support developing platforms to better serve our Clients, Advisors and Support staff Develop and implement data and reporting strategies that align with our business and Organizational objectives Drive data-driven decision-making by delivering insights that improve client segmentation, personalization and investment performance Build dashboards and visualizations to monitor KPIs and platform engagement metrics Partner across the Organization to ensure data supports end-to-end processes Present and clearly articulate process and rationale for proposed ideas and solutions
Skills Required:Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Data Science or other related field7+ years of relevant of experience in data or analytical role; wealth management industry experience a plusPrior experience working with DataIku and Tableau is preferredAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables and lookup functions), along with Microsoft PowerPoint for building meaningful presentations.Ability to manage ambiguity and bring focus with recommendations on solving tactical and strategic challengesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, and under strict and changing deadlinesStrong sense of ownership, organization, communication, and accountabilityTechnical aptitude and desire to learn new applications and processesWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
