  • Accounting support including financial reporting•               Investor Services•               Tax Services•               Middle Office support•               Analytics•               Corporate Secretary Services•               Investor transparency reportingPosition Description:Product Development (PD) team within Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) is the change & transformation think tank that works with the fund services business to establish overall strategy and priorities for the technology products and platforms. Based on the business strategy and overall priorities, the Product Development team leads & drives the product plans including gathering user requirements for the development teams, facilitating design reviews with the business and manage the overall rollout plans including QA, user testing, staff training and final delivery. The team partners with the business & technology teams across multiple global locations to deliver the final product.The current opening is for the Client Computing Solutions (CCS) Team which is part of Product Development function. The CCS Team develops tools to resolve complex business problems that are overwhelming and error-prone if handled manually by front-line colleagues.  Complexity is often found in areas such as investor services, investor allocation, regulatory reporting, capital activities and trade transaction management. The Team is comprised of colleagues who have had solid technical education and have studied finance and accounting as the chosen field to apply the skills.  The CCS Team tends to focus on very complex, specific and urgent circumstances, and the solutions tend to be highly customized for the clients concerned, and rapid turnaround is usually a requirement.The CCS Team currently seeks a candidate with skills in programming, a keen interest in process optimization, and a structured approach to problem solving.  The business environment is complex and there are many processes that require deep analysis followed by end-to-end automation.  We are seeking leaders who can help further enhance the performance of the organization, by applying his/her creativity, and by making use of familiar tools and new tools in the marketplace. The candidate’s responsibility will span across almost all facets of MSFS, working with various groups on such projects. Besides analytical and technical skills, the candidate must have good communication skills, a collaborative attitude, high creativity, as well as being an independent thinker and at the same time a great listener.Key responsibilities:Liaise with executive management & business users across locations to understand/ document business requirements, detail the use cases & propose solution optionsDesign & develop a solution which is flexible to incorporate changes and scalableEnd-to-end ownership of the tools built for client processesEnvisioning scenarios and take steps to incorporate them in the solutionOwn deliverables across the automation journey to ensure the use cases and scenarios are properly documented & analysedCreate & manage project plans, call out risks & issues proactively, report progress against the plan & track associated project benefitsCreate training plans & provide trainings to team-members & users as need arisesAbility to wear multiple hats including but not limited to Business Analyst, Developer, Project Manager, Tester & Business UserQualifications & Skills Required:BSc/MSc or equivalent degree in computer science, mathematics, economics or equivalent software engineering field, along with either an MBA or CFA or equivalent degree/certification in Finance or AccountingExperience with Hedge fund accounting is a plusDemonstrated programming skills in any one language, experience with VBA or Python languages is a plus. Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI/ML based tools is a plusDemonstrated interest and skills in technology and process managementAbility to work with Microsoft office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePointKnowledge of databases, database concepts with ability to handle large dataset is a plusStrong project management skills with ability to take ownership & lead projects independently with minimum supervisionWorking knowledge of project management tools like JIRA, Rally or any other such toolStrong communication skills & ability to interface with executive management, business users and technology development teams in multiple locationsShould be detail-oriented and must have strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience of working with multiple stakeholders for prioritisation and tracking of requirementsAbility to work as part of a focused globally distributed teams, in a complex matrix environmentAbility to handle pressure, effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks with high level of accuracyProactive, positive, self-motivated & a good team playerMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
