Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Trading Assistant with less than 3 years' experience to join our Delta One Trading desk. The successful candidate will support traders in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate trade execution, risk monitoring, and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to equity derivatives, index arbitrage, and other Delta One strategies in a fast-paced trading environment.Key Responsibilities:Trade Support & Execution:Assist traders with booking and monitoring trades across multiple markets and products.Communicate with sales team to book daily swap, forward and option trades.Ensure timely and accurate trade capture in internal systems.Risk & Position Management:Monitor positions, P&L, and risk metrics throughout the trading day.Communicate with control function to clear breaks on pnl between systemsReconcile discrepancies between internal systems and external counterparties.Operational Coordination:Liaise with middle office, operations, and compliance teams to resolve trade breaks and settlement issues.Liaise with cash payment team to make sure forward settlement is good on value dateMaintain strong communication with brokers and counterparties.Data & Reporting:Prepare daily reports on positions, risk exposure, and market activity.Support traders with ad-hoc analysis and market research.Support trading team with historical data analysis on pnl and attributionProcess Improvement:Identify and implement workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of VBA or Python is advantageous.Strong understanding of equity markets and derivatives; Delta One experience is a plus.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Preferred Experience:Prior experience in trading support or operations within an investment bank or hedge fund.Familiarity with trade lifecycle and settlement processes.Familiar with delta one trading products and swap bookingsWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
