Consulting Group Sales Desk Analyst, Associate

The team is responsible for driving revenue growth nationally across all product areas excluding banking. Reporting to the Sales Desk Management team, the Consulting Group (CG) Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting sales activities across Advisory products in their assigned markets.The role allows for continued professional development & networking throughout the organization. The Morgan Stanley Sales Desk Analyst role is a unique opportunity to prepare and develop the skillset for a career in the Wealth Management division of the financial services industry. Team members will specialize in Consulting Group and will have the following responsibilities:Provide advice and support to Financial Advisors across various investment solutions inclusive of Firm Discretionary or Third-Party Portfolio Solutions, Separately Managed Accounts, Direct Indexing, Mutual Funds, Money MarketsPartner with senior sales resources to both strategically and tactically influence advisory net flows, when appropriateConduct productive outbound calls focused on identifying client opportunities and suggesting investment solutions to address a potential client needSupport field organization by effectively and efficiently answering inbound callsLearn and implement our CRM solution to highlight engagement and commercial successSupport requests for specialized reporting, related client and prospect situations, and various research related needs, with the goal of delivering requested prospect and client support elementsProficiency in tools and topics needed to conduct daily business in Consulting Group, as well as the ability to train incoming team membersKnowledge and Skills Required:Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) required upon hire; Series 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent) required within 90 days of hireMust hold a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of financial services experience or related industry preferredPossess exemplary communication, presentation, and time-management skillsStay organized, focused, and highly disciplined. Be able to keep track of simultaneous competing needs of their assigned Financial Advisors and execute on all necessary actions in a timely mannerSeek constructive feedback and coaching from both their Sales Desk Managers and Financial Advisors, actively using it to improve how they approach future tasksProactively analyze client relationships and make recommendations to team members and financial advisors on how to supplement the client experienceEstablish, maintain and support strong working relationships with Financial Advisors and Product Team members. Demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in their workBe authorized to work in the U.S. without durational restrictionsSuccessfully complete background check and pre-employment assessmentsHiring Process Our hiring procedure is a multistep process that can take four to six weeks to complete. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
