Job Description

Field Business Management (Wealth Management Field Home Office) is seeking an Asset Retention Specialist (AVP) to help drive strategies that strengthen Financial Advisor retention and asset retention. This role blends strategic problem-solving, data-driven insights, and cross-functional execution to deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll partner with field leaders and corporate partners, turning insights into action and helping scale initiatives that improve retention performance.

Position Responsibilities

  • Interface with Senior Field Leadership to drive one of three Manager Metrics of Wealth Management Field
  • Support all phases of the retention lifecycle, inclusive of Advisor & Asset retention strategy and execution
  • Provide training to Field managers, using data and direct field insights to focus content and drive measurable retention improvements
  • Partner with Regional Analysts to align priorities and help drive retention initiatives across the field
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Senior Leadership, delivering executive-ready reporting & analytics and visualization (daily, monthly, quarterly)
  • Build relationships with corporate partners to develop and implement strategic projects across different initiatives
  • Develop AI Agents/automation to enhance operational efficiencies and accelerate results
  • Translate data into recommendations and action plans, identifying trends and delivering initiatives with quality, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Management responsibility over one direct report, with the ability to expand, providing coaching and quality control for deliverables
  • Support the preparation and execution of Client Communication during an Advisor departure, as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Wealth Management and/or relevant financial services experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Highly organized and analytical; able to take complex workstreams from concept to delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear, executive-ready narratives and recommendations
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Comfort with digital tools and working knowledge of internal platforms
  • Knowledge of Dataiku-SQL a plus; used for workflow automation and producing scalable insights
  • Proactive and collaborative teammate, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, align stakeholders, and deliver high-quality results with strong attention to detail

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
