Division Profile:The Wealth Management GenAI Team is a dynamic and innovative department that serves as a center of AI enablement across Wealth Management. The team is responsible for deploying advanced tools, platforms, and solutions that utilize generative artificial intelligence to optimize business processes. We oversee content creation, management, and governance to ensure the highest content quality for our AI system to utilize. The team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and evolution in this rapidly changing space.
Position Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated Generative AI Technical Product Owner to support the prompt engineering, testing, and operational processes of Generative AI products within Morgan Stanley. This role will focus on the development, testing, and management of key AI tools used in Wealth Management. The PO will work work on the AI@MS team, interfacing with other POs, evaluation teams, and technology teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality use cases and products.
Key Responsibilities:> Player/Coach - responsible for managing a small local team and delivering on own responsibilities
Support the end-to-end development, testing, and release of AI-powered tools on the firm's AI platform
- AI@MS
Design, refine, and maintain prompts to optimize model performance, accuracy, and user experience across a variety of use cases
Execute functional testing, validation, and quality assurance for new features, enhancements, and model updates prior to release
Conduct bulk evaluation and large-scale testing to assess model behavior, reliability, and consistency across scenarios
Analyze test results and user feedback to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Partner closely with technology teams and external/internal AI partners to support the creation, deployment, and iteration of AI tools
Collaborate with business units to understand workflows, gather requirements, and ensure tools align with real-world needs
Support adoption and rollout efforts by assisting with documentation, enablement materials, and feedback loops
Monitor post-release performance and contribute to continuous improvement of platform capabilities
Help define and improve internal processes related to testing, validation, and release management for AI tools Experience
9-12 years of relevant experience with exposure to AI, data, technology, or product-focused work in a regulated environment
Experience working with and evaluating AI/LLM concepts and behavior in a practical context (demonstrated understanding of how large language models and related AI systems operate, perform, and evolve)
Skills Required:> Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including how large language models and related AI systems operate, perform, and evolve
Knowledge of AI model behavior, limitations, evaluation considerations, and factors that impact output quality and reliability
Familiarity with AI tools, platforms, and offerings from leading AI technology providers
Ability to assess and compare AI capabilities to support informed decision-making around tool development and enhancement
Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and align with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partner
Experience translating complex AI concepts into accessible insights for non-technical audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail when evaluating model performance and system changes
Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple priorities, and support product delivery timelines in a fast-evolving environment
Sound judgment and professionalism when working with emerging technologies in a controlled, enterprise setting
