Our team in Military Aircraft is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join them. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you’ll be at the forefront of both new product development and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. You’ll work hands-on with high precision parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will:

Create detailed operation sheets and CNC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.

Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production.

Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability.

Be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.

Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications.

Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development.
To be considered for this role, typically you’ll bring:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience

3+ CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software.
-
Experience with mill-turn machines
-
Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product.

Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.

Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments.
It’d be great if you also had:

A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
-
Background in the aerospace industry
-
Experience with machine automation integration
-
Skills in inspection of machined parts
-
Hands-on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum
-
Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX
-
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $80,000.00–$120,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
