In This Role, You Will:
- Evaluate and select materials and components for product designs in marine/subsea environments
- Conduct conceptual and detailed product design using 3D CAD software and support tools
- Prepare, maintain, and verify design documents including drawings, specifications, Bo Ms, and reports
- Analyze structural and pressure rated designs for subsea use through calculation and FEA
- Define component and product test requirements, including related equipment and safety measures
- Check design documents for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to design requirements
- Identify, review, interpret, and apply relevant industry rules, specifications, and codes
- Provide technical assistance necessary to support product marketing and sales
- Provide technical support to purchasing, production, and QA for materials, processes, and special requirements
- Ensure all designs meet required specifications and quality, while also ensuring design for cost, design for reuse, design for manufacture and design for test
- Support other design groups, particularly in areas of expertise
- Actively support and promote workplace health, safety, and wellness
- Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned

A disciplined and organized professional with working knowledge of standard productivity and reporting tools.
What You Bring:
- A BASc or BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, with 4 or more years of relevant experience, or an Engineering Technology Diploma with 7 or more years of relevant experience
- Well-established computer skills, including 2D and 3D CAD (PTC Creo is an asset)
- Experience conducting engineering analysis of structural and/or high-pressure (subsea) rated designs is an asset
- Experience with integrated control systems, incorporating fluid, electrical, and electronic components, is an asset
