At MongoDB, our Sales Development team works closely with our partners in both Sales and Marketing to build fanatical customer enthusiasm around MongoDB. ADR interns are responsible for identifying and qualifying new opportunities for our sales organization.

We view our Sales Development program as the best way to turbocharge a long and successful career in sales and view our Account Development Interns as the next wave of Account Development Representatives at MongoDB.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential prospects through outbound activities (cold calling, emailing, and strategic outreach) alongside your ADR mentor

  • Review, validate, and update data in Salesforce

  • Analyze customer accounts to uncover strategic initiatives where MongoDB could add value

  • Build targeted contact lists for sales prospecting utilizing tools such as Linkedin Sales Navigator, Lusha and Zoom Info

  • Observe qualification and discovery calls to learn how current ADRs uncover customer needs

  • Collaborate with ADRs and mentors to enhance prospecting strategies and best practices

What you will learn:

  • How to execute the research, messaging and discovery phases of a sales campaign

  • How to use outbound prospecting tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom Info, and Lusha

  • The value MongoDB delivers as a Developer Data Platform and the business challenges it solves

  • Hands-on experience with modern sales strategies and execution including: How to identify an ideal customer profile (ICP) and craft messaging to developer, engineering, architecture and IT decision making personas.

Qualifications:

  • Must be within one year of final graduation from an accredited University at the time of the internship

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Technology, or Social Sciences etc.)

  • A demonstrated interest in building a career in Sales through relevant coursework or previous experience relating to sales

  • Previous experience working in a customer service role is a plus

  • The ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship

This is a full time internship position. Ideal candidates should be able to work 40 hours per week. Successful interns may be offered a full-time ADR role at the conclusion of the internship.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.
