We're looking for a Database Administrator to join our rapidly growing DBRE team. The DBRE team is responsible for the hundreds of production (and pre-production) database environments that run monday.com. It’s a high-scale environment with systems running hundreds of thousands of queries per second, and it grows all the time.

• Be responsible for the reliability of the databases, making sure they run smoothly while providing the required performance and scale.

• Take part in the team’s projects including building automations for complex scenarios, automating observability, and introducing new technologies to the company.

• Support our developers when designing new features and migrating data.

• Build robust scripts and solutions to allow DB self management by developers

• Use and develop change management solutions using Terraform and other tools

• As data is at the core of the product, you will have a direct impact on the manageability, availability and performance of monday.com

• You will be working with a small team of experienced and highly talented engineers with cutting edge technologies while taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• The team’s stack

• MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Redis, and we are also using AWS, Go, Python, Kubernetes, Linux, Node.js

• Proven working experience and deep understanding of RDBMS (MySQL / PostgreSQL/ Oracle / SQL Server / etc).

• Experience of at least 5+ years with performance optimization and scaling out data worldwide.

• Coding experience and understanding of code and software environment.

• Experience and understanding of cloud environments and tools.

• Experience in leading projects, POCing different technologies and rolling out new solutions to the production environment.

• Great skills of seeing a big picture and system architecture planning.

• Team player, egoless, strong communication skills, and empathy.

• Degree in Computer Science (not a must; we're always looking for super talented people).

• Advantage: working with NoSQL databases like Elasticsearch and Cassandra.
