Overview:

We are seeking an Machine Learning Systems Engineer for the Microsoft Teams Calling, Meeting & Devices group. This person will collaborate with a multi-functional group to deliver next generation innovations and experiences leveraging, fine tuning and prompt engineering foundation models. Partner with product and engineering teams to invent and deliver on the future for Microsoft Facilitator and other Generative AI products. If you are adept at algrorithms, orchestration, and general Systems Design in Software, and built Industry wide products in the ML Engineering space and passionate about fast paced development, this role is for you.

• Responsibilities- Create and validate metrics, develop ML pipeline and modeling algorithm in the area of Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, and Machine Learning.
• Develop and deploy conversational and language understanding models at scale. Understand Perf, Latency, Qualitative aspects at Production Scale
• Following and advancing best practices for Responsible AI and Privacy Preserving Machine Learning.
• Collaborate closely with Microsoft Research, Microsoft AI groups, Microsoft Azure, AI platform teams, and product teams to create the next generation of AI innovation in our products and services.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in ML tools like Pytorch and Tensor Flow.
• Practical experience developing applications using prompt engineering, fine tuning, Open AI or Azure Open AI APIs.
• System development skills, with a long-range system view that leverages development ranging from rapid research prototypes to carefully architected complex systems.
• Experience with Generative AI, Orchestration and ML Systems design, as well as handling large scale LLM infrastructure.
