We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Core Datacenter Services . You will lead report and dashboard development, analyze data to generate actionable insights, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and influence teams to drive data-driven decisions.
ITPS, a team within CO+I Core Datacenter Services (CDS), envisions a unified, automated approach to managing IT operations processes and standards across Microsoft’s global datacenter fleet. This ensures the ability to maintain and restore IT capacity efficiently and effectively to meet cloud service availability targets at scale. ITPS defines and evolves processes that underpin datacenter IT operations, including breakfix workflows, service transition, planning and scheduling, and IT service management orchestration. By equipping operations teams with the right tools and procedures, ITPS supports innovation and growth across offerings such as Azure AI, high-performance computing clusters, and mission-critical workloads.

Responsibilities- Lead and partner with IT process stakeholders across our organization to build reports, dashboards, analytics, and other business intelligence tools to operationalize key metrics.

Explore and analyze data to supply meaningful insights on organizational processes.

Analyze IT work volume, prioritization, and repair return to service success and defect rates to quantify opportunities.

Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and contribute modeling expertise as a team player.

Influence across disciplines and teams to ensure we are making data-driven decisions and solving critical problems for our customers.

Build and deploy visualizations that deliver insights to decision-makers at an array of levels, from executives to front-line staff.

Build a strong understanding of business operations and anticipate challenges by analyzing trends and probing beyond stated concerns.

Mentor others and stay current with advances in the industry.

Build responsible AI-compliant data products and applications.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum qualifications
Master’s degree in mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field
- AND 2+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 3+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Business Analytics IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
