Senior Event Marketing Manager
Overview

As Senior Event Marketing Manager you will lead planning and execution of a mix of 1st party (Microsoft-owned) and 3rd party (Sponsored) events for Microsoft Security. You will lead a team of stakeholders that includes product marketers, sales, as well as agency & production partners to engage security decision makers and practitioners through in-person and digital events. Reporting to the Director of Security Experiences, you and the Event Marketing team will help drive perception, create deep customer engagements, and influence the sales pipeline. Responsibilities
- Orchestrate priority online / in-person event programs for Microsoft Security to create memorable experiences for key audiences.
- Define event goals and scope of presence for each event property.
- Lead planning, execution, results tracking & reporting for multiple events, with an emphasis on event operations
- Refine and evolve standard operations processes – pre, during and post event
- Drive consistency in event operations model across agency and production vendors, leading oversight of agency management (budget & contracts), event tool selection, event playbooks & event best practices
- Drive alignment across internal stakeholders and agency & production partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand presence and audience engagement through ancillary event activities
- Work closely with the Narrative, Thought Leadership and Product Marketing Teams to define messaging and content featured
- Work closely with Demand Generation teams to build event audience
- Advocate for Microsoft Security to be properly represented among other business units at 1st Party events Maintain relationships with 3rd party conference organizers and manage sponsorship contracts Drive innovation and best practice, maintain awareness of event industry trends and competitive execution.Travel for events across US and globally.

Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications
- 3+ years business to business, business to consumer, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Performing Arts, or related field AND 6+ years business to business, business to consumer, enterprise technology, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience in the technology industry OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years marketing experience in a large multinational organization or creative/media agency.
- Experience in strategy development, planning and execution of multiple in-person and/or digital events.
- Experience influencing a diverse set of stakeholders and driving impact through other teams.
- Experience in managing budgets, timelines, and agency & production resources
- Experience monitoring event analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Experience with platforms for event registration, meeting management, and digital event delivery
Events IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
