Our team builds this platform using cutting-edge AI and large-scale data systems to surface actionable insights from collaboration and business signals. We’re hiring a **Software Engineer II (Platform)**to help deliver data platform which helps scale this experience to planet scale, to realize potential by unlocking the full value of Microsoft Copilot. We also use generative AI extensively in our own development process to move fast, learn continuously, and deliver customer value at scale.

• Responsibilities- Work on delivery of next generation features related to scalability, reliability, robustness, security, and performance of the Viva Insights infrastructure and platform.
• Design, implement and operate infrastructure and platform at scale with high availability & performance.
• Write clean well-thought-out code with an emphasis on quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Driving innovations in the data platform constantly & remaining ahead of the curve.
• Be the champion for engineering excellence and drive the culture of high availability, high predictability, and high performance.
• Build, communicate and execute robust development, documentation, and product engineering processes.
• Help create a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can bring their full and authentic self and where we do our best work as a result.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.OR equivalent experience.
• Excellent design, coding, testing, problem solving, and debugging skills in any language.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in building scalable real time data systems, ETL, and streaming solutions on a high scale will be a big plus.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:-Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
