Senior Product Design Producer
Overview
The Collaborative Experience Design (CxD) Studio is seeking a Senior Product Design Producer to support our Research and Content Engineering teams. This role serves as strategic partner to Research and Content Engineering leadership to drive clarity, alignment, and operational excellence across the teams.
In this role, you’ll balance hands‑on program and operations leadership with strategic support for the director, acting as a thought partner on planning, prioritization, and communication while ensuring teams are set up to deliver high‑quality work at scale. You’ll help translate direction into action, connect dots across initiatives, and maintain strong operating rhythms so the organization can stay focused and effective.
The CxD Studio is responsible for envisioning the future of collaboration at Microsoft through products like Teams, Share Point, and One Drive. As part of the Design Ops team, you’ll contribute to better cross‑product integration, stronger customer experiences, improved efficiency, and a healthy culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Serve as strategic advisor and thought partner to Research and Content Engineering leadership, supporting high-impact decisions, planning, prioritization, and cross‑team coordination.
- Lead semester and quarterly planning processes, translating executive vision into actionable roadmaps and resource allocation strategies.
- Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and updates to support leadership discussions and cross‑studio alignment.
- Help design and facilitate working sessions or alignment discussions that bring clarity to complex and cross‑team topics.
- Drive organizational optimization changes, team scaling decisions, and strategic talent planning, growth, and learning initiatives.
- Lead transformation programs and change management initiatives that span multiple teams and business units.
- Establish decision-making frameworks, escalation paths, and strategic governance processes.
- Partner with cross-discipline leaders to ensure the strategy and the work is aligned, well‑sequenced, and delivered with clarity and momentum.
- Oversee communication and knowledge management strategies that support organizational and discipline memory, stakeholder visibility, and smooth onboarding.
- Identify gaps in workflows, tooling, or coordination and lead operational improvements that strengthen leadership decision making and execution.
- Support complex stakeholder relationships and facilitate alignment across multiple business units and leadership levels.
- Orchestrate and support team rituals, celebrations, and communication practices that reinforce organizational culture and recognize contributions.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience shipping products, services, or games and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process.
- Experience in management consulting, business operations, or strategic planning roles.
- Advanced familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, OKRs) and strategic planning frameworks.
- Proficiency with strategic planning and program management tools (Figma, Sketch, Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Tableau).
- Experience with business intelligence and data analysis tools for strategic decision-making.
- Familiarity with Share Point, advanced document management, and enterprise publishing systems.
- Experience facilitating executive-level strategic sessions and board-level communications.
- Deep understanding of Design Operations, UX Research methodologies, and Content Design practices.
- Knowledge of enterprise software development cycles and cross-functional product development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem and enterprise collaboration tools.
Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
