We are looking to hire a Cloud Solution Architect-Manager(CSA-M) to join our diverse, talented, high performance, and innovative team, focused on driving rapid cloud solutions on Azure via the Cloud Accelerate Factory. A Cloud Solution Architect-Manager (CSA-M) within the Cloud & AI Platforms Global Customer Success team focused on helping customer jumpstart Azure projects with zero-cost deployment assistance by leveraging the Cloud Accelerate Factory, also known as the Factory. The Cloud Accelerate Factory is best suited for individuals that are highly technical, solution focused and have a passion for Project Management. The Cloud Accelerate Factory provides opportunity to drive feedback into Microsoft’s core product teams to help improve our platform.
CSA-M’s operate globally and engage directly with customers. It is a leadership role, guiding Individual Contributors across design, build, and production. It requires candidates are expected to comfortably switch from a whiteboard to the keyboard. - Responsibilities- Leadership & Strategy – As a Cloud Solution Architect
- Manager, you’ll model, coach, and care for your team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in excellence. You’ll guide the execution of technology strategy and digital transformation across strategic accounts, setting clear performance expectations and leading your team through change while maintaining high standards. You’ll demonstrate inclusiveness, inspire a growth mindset, and lead by example.
- Talent Management – You’ll build and nurture a talented, diverse team through inclusive hiring practices and a strong focus on retention. - Deliver Results Through Collaboration – You’ll act as a trusted advisor and technical subject matter expert to Technical Decision Makers (TDMs), including Cx Os. You’ll drive the execution of Microsoft’s priorities by developing and executing a clear team strategy that enables success, removes technical blockers, and champions innovation. You’ll foster strong, collaborative relationships to align objectives and maximize the impact of Factory solutions.
- Customer-Centric Approach: End-to-end ownership of Factory engagements to help customers jumpstart their Azure projects with no-cost deployment assistance.
- Provide Factory delivery oversight which includes being hands-on with delivery based on business requirements.
- Deliver proactive portfolio management for Factory engagements by overseeing execution and mitigating delivery risks, ensuring seamless stakeholder management and successful outcomes for customers.
- Business Impact: Deliver Customer success on the Microsoft Cloud & AI Platforms with a special focus on driving velocity and enabling timely execution of high-value Factory delivery projects for customers based in the Americas.
- Accountable for working with internal Microsoft stakeholders in the Account Technology Unit (ATU), SE&O (Sales Enablement & Operations), Specialist Team Unit (STU), Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) and Customer Success Unit (CSU) to deliver customer outcomes through Factory delivery projects.
- Orchestrate effective execution of Partner + Factory delivery to scale reach and impact across all customer segments.
- Drive the acceleration and removal of delivery blockers for Factory projects within Americas as the primary territory of responsibility. Additionally, as part of the Global Customer Success team.
- Technical Leadership: You’ll leverage your deep technical expertise in IP solutions and services development to provide valuable insights and gain credibility with partners. Staying current on emerging technologies and industry trends, you’ll drive innovation in partner solutions. You’ll consult on strategic alignment with Microsoft’s technology priorities and assess partners’ readiness to address solution gaps
- Act as a Cloud Factory Lead to assist customers in Factory delivery projects.
- Acumen to extract architectural and implementation patterns, actionable insights from Factory delivery execution by closing the loop with Technical Success colleagues to improve IP, offerings and process flows.
Qualifications:
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, support managers and/or technical architect managers.

Additional or preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 6+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions.
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
- 5+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
Cloud Solution Architecture M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
