In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation—working with leading banks, insurers, and financial institutions to design and deliver secure, scalable, and compliant AI‑powered applications and intelligent agents. You will collaborate closely with engineering leaders, platform teams, and senior business stakeholders to drive meaningful business impact using Microsoft’s Cloud and AI platform.

As a Cloud & AI Apps Solution Engineer, you will help FSI customers adopt these innovations to boost developer productivity, drive innovation, and modernize mission‑critical applications—while meeting stringent security, risk, and regulatory expectations.
As a trusted technical advisor, you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprise AI developers unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s and GitHub’s AI‑powered stack. Through hands‑on engagements such as architecture design sessions, proofs of concept, and hackathons, you will guide customers through secure-by-design solution architectures, influence key technical decisions, and accelerate AI applications and agents into their development and deployment workflows. Ultimately, you will help customers modernize their applications, operationalize AI responsibly, and realize the full value of Microsoft’s Cloud & AI platform.

Responsibilities:
Customer & Technical Engagement
- Lead and own end-to-end technical engagements with customers, from discovery through architecture design, POCs, and production readiness.
- Partner with account teams to drive and win the customer technical decision by aligning Microsoft Cloud & AI capabilities to customer business outcomes.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, architects, and senior developers across industries.
- Translate complex customer requirements into secure, scalable, and compliant AI application architectures.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Design and present architectures for AI-powered applications and agents, including cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-tier solutions.
- Lead architecture design sessions, demos, hackathons, and proofs of concept showcasing Microsoft AI and application platforms.
- Adapt and extend reference architectures to meet industry, regulatory, and enterprise-scale requirements.
- Position Microsoft solutions competitively by articulating technical differentiation and value.
Cloud & AI Platform Expertise
- Apply deep expertise across Azure AI, application services, and agent-based architectures to solve customer challenges.
- Guide customers on building, deploying, and managing AI apps and intelligent agents at scale.
- Advise on security, governance, identity, and compliance considerations for AI and cloud applications.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to escalate blockers and provide field feedback.
Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration
- Work in a sell-with partner model, collaborating with system integrators and ISVs to scale customer solutions.
- Support partner technical readiness and co-create architectures and POCs where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to leverage partners to accelerate customer success.
Thought Leadership & Community
- Act as a technical thought leader within the Cloud & AI Apps community.
- Share best practices, architectures, and learnings through internal communities, enablement sessions, and events.
- Continuously upskill and maintain technical readiness aligned to Microsoft Cloud & AI priorities.
- Embody Microsoft’s culture, values, and commitment to inclusive, customer‑obsessed engineering.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting, OR equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-native applications on Azure or equivalent platforms.
- Solid understanding of AI application architectures, including model integration, orchestration, and deployment.
- Proven ability to engage with senior technical and business stakeholders and influence architecture decisions.
- Experience leading architecture design sessions, POCs, demos, or technical workshops.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure AI services, cloud application platforms, or agent-based solutions.
- Knowledge of application development patterns (microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures).
- Familiarity with security, identity, governance, and compliance considerations in enterprise cloud and AI solutions.
- Experience working with partners in complex customer engagements.
- Relevant cloud or AI certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain them).
