The Small, Medium, Enterprise & Channel (SME&C) Azure Finance team is seeking a strong, high impact Senior Finance Manager to support the Digital Cloud Solution Architecht (DCSA) team - a critical growth engine for Azure that drives scaled execution through digital and inside sales motions. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how we enable DCSA to accelerate workload adoption and Azure growth through clear insights, strong execution, and cross functional partnership.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will focus on strategic partnership across a wide range of stakeholders, workload-level insights, and field/digital execution engagement. You’ll play a critical role in helping leadership navigate opportunities, scale execution, and drive business performance across the global Azure business.

About the Team:
The Worldwide (WW) SME&C Azure Finance team are global finance professionals who partner across Microsoft to drive strategic insights, investment decisions, and business transformation. We are committed to empowering our people, building trust, and delivering impact through financial leadership.
Responsibilities:
Accelerate Growth & Enable Decisions to Win Market Share
- Drive financial insights and execution support for DCSA performance across Azure workloads, ensuring alignment with GTM strategy.
- Provide thought leadership that supports Azure growth, pipeline conversion, and scaled execution through digital sales motions.
- Communicate business performance and insights effectively to leadership audiences to drive clarity and action.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and decision velocity through standardized metrics, automation, and repeatable analysis.
Enable Strategic Partnerships:
- Partner across DCSA leadership, GTM, Sales Excellence (SEL), Operations, Strategy, and Finance to align priorities and drive strong joint execution.
- Engage with WW and regional stakeholders to understand business needs, surface opportunities, and scale best practices.
- Support cross team alignment (e.g., with workload/product finance owners) by connecting digital motion outcomes to workload adoption and performance drivers.
Champion Compliance & Governance:
- Partner with Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) and Control & Compliance teams to embed compliance rigor into financial processes and key risk areas.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical decision making across all financial activities.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including ROI and sensitivity analysis.
- Analytical skills with ability to mine data sets using Power BI, Excel (Power Pivot / Power Query), MSX Insights, and AI/Copilot.
- Excel & Power BI proficiency and experience with data visualization.
- Ability to translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Experience influencing across organizational boundaries in a matrixed environment.
- Understanding of cloud business models and consumption/Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR drivers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
