We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to help customers bring their AI-powered applications to production scale on Azure. In this customer-facing role, you’ll lead technical engagements across design, build, and operations, removing blockers and accelerating adoption of Azure AI, App Services, GitHub, and data platforms. As part of the Cloud + AI Apps team, you will deliver engagements leveraging existing Repeatable IP and execution engines with accountability for delivery excellence, consumption growth, and successful deployment for the customer. You will ensure production readiness of mission-critical workloads and contribute to reusable IP that scales impact. You’ll be certified in priority workloads like Azure AI Foundry, AKS, Cosmos DB, and GitHub, and collaborate with customer executives, developers, and engineers to turn innovation into real-world outcomes.

The Cloud Solution Architect– Apps & AI in Switzerland will support enterprise customers in designing, validating, and deploying secure, resilient, and AI‑enabled application solutions on Azure. Operating in a highly regulated, partner-driven market, this role focuses on execution excellence, customer value realization, and growth of Azure consumption, while building trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders under guidance from more experienced peers.

Responsibilities

Delivery & Business Impact

  • Execute Apps & AI customer engagements with strong operational discipline, maintaining accurate pipeline, time tracking, and usage/consumption data in Microsoft systems of record.
  • Collaborate with sales, partners, and delivery teams to design and implement solutions aligned to customer requirements, regulatory constraints, and Microsoft proven practices.
  • Support identification and mitigation of technical, security, and delivery risks, escalating blockers and dependencies in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to accelerating solution deployment, operational readiness, and customer value realization.

Customer Value & Consumption Growth

  • Support identification and advancement of Azure consumption, usage, and Unified opportunities within assigned customer workloads, grounded in validated business value.
  • Engage customers through active listening and structured recommendations, helping shape architectures that improve modernization, automation, security, resiliency, and AI readiness.
  • Analyze customer environments and application landscapes to connect Apps & AI solutions to measurable business outcomes.
  • Capture and progress opportunities accurately in Microsoft tools, working closely with sellers and partners.

Customer Centricity

  • Contribute to a consistent, high‑quality, and trusted customer experience across engagements, with a strong focus on follow‑through and transparency.
  • Develop an understanding of customer goals and help define clear conditions for success for Apps & AI initiatives.
  • Translate customer challenges into Microsoft‑aligned solution approaches and explain architectural choices, trade‑offs, and expected value.
  • Build working relationships with customer technical stakeholders (e.g., architects, engineering and security leads).

Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Work with Microsoft partners to support proofs of concept, technical validations, and early solution implementations.
  • Assist partners and sales teams by clarifying requirements, addressing technical questions, and helping resolve delivery challenges.
  • Focus efforts on partner engagements aligned with Swiss enterprise priorities and Microsoft solution plays.

Technical Readiness & Continuous Growth

  • Maintain and grow technical readiness in Azure application platforms and AI services, applying learnings directly to customer engagements.
  • Participate in internal technical communities and virtual teams, sharing customer insights and proven practices.
  • Contribute to reusable assets and identify recurring patterns or gaps, escalating improvement opportunities to senior peers.
  • Continuously develop technical, industry, and consultative skills relevant to Swiss enterprise customers.

Qualifications Required Qualifications (RQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting or delivering cloud‑based application or AI solutions in enterprise or complex customer environments AND Ability to analyze existing applications and architectures and map them to Azure‑based solutions.
  • Understanding of secure and resilient cloud architecture principles.
  • Foundational to intermediate knowledge of Azure application platforms (e.g., App Services, Containers, Integration, DevOps) and/or Azure AI services.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)
  • German and/or French is an advantage for customer engagements in Switzerland.
  • Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector) is beneficial
