The Windows team is growing a Centre of Excellence in Microsoft, India with a broad portfolio of applications to help innovate on the next version of Windows. We are focused on building Shell and Services Experiences on various Windows flavors that will make our customer experiences much more seamless and more productive. You will get an opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams within the Windows group and across product groups within the company.

Responsibilities:

The team is to embark on a journey to own and drive the transformation of our experiences on Windows to be simple, delightful, and new Users interacting surface areas of anything that ships with Windows are in the purview of this team!

• Influence and align product vision by collaborating with customers, partners, product management and engineering teams.
• Mentoring a team of high-caliber Software Engineers, ensuring project and development excellence and technical leadership.
• Deliver high quality results with full ownership and take the product to next level.
• Create a strong team culture of engineering excellence, customer passion, collaboration, diversity and inclusion. And of course, having fun too!

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of total experience designing, building and shipping software at scale and at least including 5+ years of experience in modern app development using XAML/WinUI and C/C++, is preferred.
• Solid design, coding, debugging, teamwork, partnership and communication skills.
• Experience in leading large dev teams to achieve complex goals on time and on budget.
• Proven ability to find a shippable solution given conflicting and ambiguous requirements.
• Excellent Technical skills in Driving Design, Architecture with cross product and services dependencies.
• Ability to Drive Innovation with customer obsession.
• C++ design/architecture skills with expertise in leading teams in Windows development is a plus.
• Experience with cross group design and coordination is an advantage.
• You must be self-driven, curious to learn, proactive, and result oriented.
