Overview:
Join the Microsoft AI (MAI) organization within our MSN content division, where we are redefining how global audiences engage with content across MSN.com, Edge New Tab Page, Windows surfaces, and partner experiences.
Advertising is a core pillar of MSN’s business, and as a Principal Product Manager, you will drive the long‑term vision for how MSN monetizes at scale. This role is highly strategic and cross‑functional, owning the evolution of MSN’s advertising experiences across display, native, video, sponsorships, and emerging formats. You will partner closely with Ads Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Editorial teams to turn business strategy into durable, high‑quality monetization systems that balance user experience, advertiser value, and revenue growth.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. - Partner across Microsoft Ads, UX, Marketplace, Sales, PMM, Editorial and Engineering to align roadmaps, unlock demand, and remove friction in how MSN inventory is packaged and sold.
- Drive data‑informed decision making, using experimentation, performance metrics (e.g., RPM, CTR, viewability, engagement), and advertiser feedback to guide prioritization.
- Influence system‑level investments, including ranking, yield optimization, ad quality, and infrastructure, to improve long‑term monetization outcomes.
- Lead through influence, setting clarity and direction for multiple teams and PMs without direct authority, consistent with Principal‑level expectations.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Deep understanding of digital advertising systems and technologies including RTB.
- 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
