About Our Team:
As a FE Central Quality Process Engineer at Micron, you will be part of a team dedicated to driving Micron’s quality initiatives across global front‑end manufacturing operations. Our team collaborates closely with multi-functional engineering, quality, and reliability groups to ensure new product quality, robust control systems, and aligned risk-mitigation practices. We work to strengthen end‑to‑end quality governance and support operational perfection across all Micron fabs.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will lead new product quality risk assessments and deploy Quality & Reliability (QnR) control systems across front‑end processes. You will ensure product quality through comprehensive control points, specification validation, and effective disposition measures that mitigate manufacturing and packaging risks. The position requires strong technical depth, multi-functional collaboration, and the ability to support and improve global quality systems and business processes.
Responsibilities:
-
Partner with DDQA, Fab PI, cPIE, Fab QE, RAM, and other multi-functional groups to establish end-to-end QRC processes, inline control points, and pFMEAs governing process change control.
-
Identify FE process‑to‑package impacts and drive comprehensive QnR risk assessments, fail‑mode risk evaluations, and material disposition decisions.
-
Lead global quality‑system deployment projects, facilitate cross‑fab alignment, and share best‑known‑methods to strengthen QA business processes and methods.
-
Provide tactical support for continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing problem‑solving, and validation of root cause, corrective actions, preventive actions, and quality‑related manufacturing improvements.
-
Support excursion management through fail‑mode‑based risk assessment and ensure appropriate disposition, controls, and quality safeguards.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of traveler flow and fab‑area processes, with familiarity in BEOL process operations.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-functional teams while demonstrating strong organizational capabilities.
-
Demonstrated expertise in fixing and resolving process issues, identifying root causes, and applying model‑based problem‑solving with data‑driven decision‑making.
-
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills to support multi-functional alignment and reporting.
-
Flexibility with job responsibilities and initiative in assuming additional tasks as needed in support of manufacturing quality objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of package processes, fail modes, and process WLR & pWLR, with the ability to assess FE‑to‑package quality risk interactions.
-
Experience validating root cause, CA/PA effectiveness, and manufacturing improvements for quality events.
-
Proven ability to lead global projects that deploy and enhance quality‑related systems, business processes, and cross‑fab standardization.
-
Experience partnering with quality engineers across multiple fabs to share best‑known‑methods and drive global quality alignment.
-
Strong capability to support continuous improvement initiatives passionate about meaningful outcomes and manufacturing problem-solving.
