Role Overview

This Hyderabad based role is responsible for the strategic, operational, and external-facing leadership of Micron’s India presence, with primary oversight of operations in Hyderabad and Bangalore. This leader will ensure operational excellence, scalability, and alignment with Micron’s global business objectives while representing the company as a trusted partner to local and central government bodies, ministries, universities, and industry partners.

This role will have local accountability for site performance, talent development, regulatory engagement, and long-term ecosystem growth. The VP will work cross-functionally with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for Micron’s India operations in Hyderabad and Bangalore, ensuring high performance, operational effectiveness, and scalability.

• Drive alignment between India-based teams and Micron’s global operational, financial, and strategic priorities.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for operational excellence, cost efficiency, quality, and employee engagement.

• Ensure robust governance, compliance, risk management, and adherence to Micron’s global policies and values.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with government stakeholders to support business continuity, expansion, incentives, and regulatory compliance.

• Partner with industry associations and ecosystem partners to advance Micron’s presence and influence in India’s semiconductor and technology landscape.

• Represent Micron in public forums, policy discussions, and industry events as appropriate.

• Develop strategic partnerships with leading universities, research institutions, and technical institutes to strengthen talent pipelines, research collaboration, and workforce readiness.

• Support initiatives related to skill development, workforce localization, and long-term capability building aligned with Micron’s technology roadmap.

• Champion diversity, inclusion, and leadership development across Hyderabad and Bangalore operations.

• Lead Hyderabad and Bangalore site strategy and long-range planning for operations, including growth, infrastructure, and capacity expansion.

• Collaborate with global leaders across manufacturing, R&D, engineering, supply chain, IT, HR, finance, and legal functions.

• Drive operational readiness for new programs, technologies, and investments in Hyderabad and Bangalore sites.

• Ensure business continuity planning, crisis management preparedness, and resilience across sites.

• Build and lead a high-performing executive and site leadership team in Hyderabad and Bangalore.

• Foster a strong, inclusive, and values-driven culture aligned with Micron’s global leadership principles.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field strongly preferred.

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale operations, technology, semiconductor, manufacturing, or global services environments.

• Demonstrated experience leading multi-site operations and large, diverse teams in India.

• Proven ability to engage effectively with government officials, ministries, regulators, and internal & external stakeholders at senior levels.

• Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen with experience managing complex, matrixed organizations.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence skills.

• Experience within the semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or high-technology ecosystem.

• Prior responsibility for country-level or regional operations leadership.

• Track record of building partnerships with universities, research institutions, and industry bodies.
