- Supervision and implementation of programs at project in accordance with Micron EHS Policies and Standards and in compliance with local applicable governmental regulations.
- Ensure construction site compliance with policies and programs. This includes coordinating resources, both internal (construction team, site EHS etc.) and external (contractors, consultants, etc.) for programs and/or projects.
- Drive elimination of unsafe and poor EHS practices and conditions on construction sites by performing daily safety review with project EHS team and document high severity findings. This also includes effective revision and communication of Contractor Work Rules, EHS Observation Reporting, Risk Assessments, sharing successful practices, Contractor Prequalification and annual contractor scorecard.
- Work with Site Project Manager and EHS team to investigate project/construction incidents and injuries to determine root cause and assess propose corrective and preventive measures. During times of serious incident, provide support by offering recommendations, interpreting regulations and assisting in communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Report to Global EHS leadership as required. Lead development, implementation and ensure compliance for safe and environmentally responsible engineering designs and ensure safe qualification of tools. Partners with procurement, business/functional area, site EHS managers and engineering department and provide strategic direction for technical and procurement DA process.
- Ensures compliance of EHS in business planning processes and accountabilities. Support strategic capital planning process by using a risk based approach to analyze all EHS implementation options on projects as required.
- Support site Construction EHS Committee lead by Site Leadership Team.
- Provide effective communication processes concerning the below EHS related information, and organize periodical site construction EHS committee meeting. The committee shall review the following topics during the meeting
- EHS performance and Metrics, Contractor EHS reports, Micron EHS Findings Overview, Incident Review, EHS Activities Updates, Site Legal Licenses Status, Emergency Response Plan, Review of action plans, and Request from Site Leadership team
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct assessments, inspections and audits of current projects to monitor compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Establish processes to build operational capabilities for increased self-governance.
- Provide direction in the development, and implementation to conduct or coordinate EHS training in areas such as EHS laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of EHS equipment.
- Manage external EHS consultants and ensure that they perform accordance to the roles and responsibilities stated in the agreement.
