
Warehouse Operations Manager
About the role
Meta seeks an experienced transportation manager. The candidate will build strong partnerships with various internal business partners, support scaling the organization, manage escalations, roll out tooling, coordinate execution activities and ensure logistical efficiency in a fast-paced and growing business area. This position is for a professional who can mentor and grow processes, operate complex programs, maintain engagement with multiple stakeholders, and envision the future systems and processes to support growing customer needs. They will support Construction, Server Racks, Connectivity gear and all 1 GW data center sites with 7-day operations coverage on a 5-day working schedule.
Warehouse Operations Manager Responsibilities:
Must be available to work an 8-hour shift within a 12-hour operational window (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with flexibility required for occasional weekend coverage as needed. When a weekend shift is assigned, an alternate weekday off will be scheduled
Engage with internal customers to understand their current and future needs, and shape the team's customer-facing vision and roadmap in support of it
Manage and coordinate the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment within the organization's facilities, developing efficient transportation routes and schedules for timely delivery
Negotiate competitive carrier and transportation rates, and conduct regular benchmarking against industry peers to identify and implement rate-reduction opportunities
Develop and maintain carrier relationships to ensure high-quality service and compliance with organizational standards
Conduct regular carrier performance reviews covering service quality, on-time performance, and claims management
Develop and negotiate carrier contracts to secure competitive rates and terms
Develop and track KPIs (on-time delivery, transit times, cost reporting) to measure carrier performance, and analyze the data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with organizational goals
Manage international shipments while ensuring import/export compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Finance, or related field; other technical education, experience, and degrees considered based on professional experience
7+ years of experience in warehouse management, 3PL management, transportation management, supply chain, inventory management, operations, or manufacturing
7+ years of experience operating in a matrixed organization, independently identifying, managing, and solving complex, ambiguous problems
Proven track record independently leading warehouse and transportation operations and 3PL providers at scale, and driving operational quality and compliance in a large-scale distribution environment
Demonstrated experience setting operational standards, metrics, and SOPs adopted across teams or regions
Hands-on experience with logistics management systems (WMS/TMS) and transportation logistics services
Experience in performance analysis, detailed reporting, and cost management / budget adherence
Willingness and ability to travel (estimated ~25%) to warehouse and 3PL locations across North America for on-site management and auditing
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Experience in logistics operations in a global, high-growth environment
Experience with the import/export environment of 3PL/carrier operations
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Understanding of relational databases and ERP systems (Oracle or similar), plus MS Access, Excel, and Project
Track record leading initiatives across a geographically distributed, cross-functional environment with a high degree of ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or MBA

United States of America: $115,000/year to $163,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
