
Lead, Content Business Development
About the role
Meta is looking to hire a Lead on the Content Business Development team in the Global Partnerships & Content organization. This is a unique opportunity to lead cross-functional work on business development strategy and deal execution; supporting marketing and product priorities across the Meta portfolio including AI, Wearables, and Family of Apps; and work closely with both the Partnerships, Product and Marketing teams as well as Legal, Operations, Analytics and Policy to deliver results. This is a highly visible role that will partner with leaders across Meta.
The successful candidate will have experience leading complex talent, content and marketing deals, preferably at a technology company. They have experience independently identifying and driving new initiatives who is comfortable with rapid change, will take a proactive and strategic approach to business development and relationship management, and will inform product strategy. They will have the ability to bridge short-term execution with long-term goals to build durable and trusting partnerships. They will have experience working with high profile partners around the globe and a track record of crafting partnership opportunities.
Lead, Content Business Development Responsibilities
Draft term sheets, work with legal on long form agreements, provide deal summaries/support post execution contract management and deal fulfillment
Drive new business opportunities with key partners, including public figures, third party agencies and media companies
Represent Meta in external meetings & negotiations with executives, both internally and externally
Draft leadership escalation documents succinctly lay out background and analysis in order to inform leadership decision-making
Manage cross-functional workstreams to identify and creatively resolve complex business, operational, and legal issues necessary to execute and manage agreements
Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, policy, legal, marketing, and PR to launch products and partnerships
Minimum Qualifications:
12+ years of working experience, including 8+ years in a partner-facing role
Experience crafting innovative product partnerships from scratch
Experience drafting IP/Content/Marketing term sheets with multiple cross functional partners and driving consensus to align on deal structure and deliverables across a broad range of deal types
Communication skills, including presentations
Product strategy experience and understanding of the mobile ecosystems
BA/BS degree in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or JD:
Experience working with engineering and product teams to evaluate technical feasibility of partnership integrations
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

United States of America: $193,000/year to $269,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
