About the team
You’ll be joining our Legal Operations team as our very first Legal Project Manager. We’re a small, mighty group who love building efficient systems, creatively solving problems, and making our attorneys’ lives easier so they can focus on the work that really needs them. We're a highly collaborative, low-ego team that genuinely enjoys working together.
About the role
Legal Ops is very well-loved here, maybe a little too well-loved! This role exists because there’s more demand than we can cover today. Our attorneys actively seek out our help and trust us to make their work better, faster, and more efficient. You’ll step in as a dedicated project partner, owning complex and cross-functional initiatives from start to finish. Expect lots of variety, a fast-moving environment, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You’ll wear multiple hats and act as a true force multiplier for the team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll partner closely with attorneys to provide hands-on project management support across a wide range of legal areas, including corporate, litigation, IP, regulatory, product, privacy, commercial, and employment. You’ll support day-to-day corporate work like entity management, board and stockholder matters, corporate records, and compliance, and you’ll help drive larger transactions and milestone moments when they come up. You’ll own and help manage our patent and trademark portfolios and run the patent incentive program. You’ll support product and regulatory work by helping manage licensing requirements, product compliance efforts, taking the lead on exams, audits, and due diligence, and driving new product development that benefits both our company and our customers.
A big part of the role is building better ways of working. You’ll design and document new processes, fix ones that aren’t working, and introduce tooling, automation, and reporting. You’ll also explore and implement AI solutions to reduce manual work and scale our impact.
You’ll own project plans, timelines, and status updates, anticipate friction, escalate thoughtfully, and keep things moving even when the path isn’t perfectly clear. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives with product, partnerships, compliance, finance, and our exec team, and collaborate externally with outside counsel, consultants, and financial partners. Along the way, you’ll make decisions, take ownership, and move projects forward with confidence.
Who you are
-
8+ years of experience in legal project management or as a senior paralegal
-
A mix of law firm and in-house experience, ideally at a technology company
-
Experience supporting complex work in corporate, litigation, IP, and/or regulatory areas
-
Experience in Fintech, financial services or a highly regulated tech environment is a plus
What we’d love to see
-
Strong project management skills and comfort collaborating cross-functionally
-
Thrives in ambiguity and works well independently with minimal guidance
-
Comfortable making decisions even when the path isn’t perfectly clear
-
A solid understanding of legal tech and AI, and the ability to apply these tools to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
-
A natural problem-solver with a love of untangling complex challenges
-
Creativity and a willingness to challenge the way things have always been done
-
Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful
