Purpose of the role

In this role, the candidate will engage with a globally diverse group of teams, including SAP Basis, Security, ABAP, SAP functional team members, the infrastructure team, and other IT process partners. These collaborations will involve providing support for both ongoing operations and new initiatives. The candidate will work closely with the SAP Technical Architect, offering guidance on architectural matters and the integration of new applications and technologies. Additionally, the candidate is expected to lead cross-functional projects, address complex challenges, and contribute to program-wide initiatives.

As our organization undertakes a transformation journey, leveraging the latest SAP technologies and infrastructure, the candidate should possess experience with these modern tools. The ability to both lead technical projects and perform hands-on tasks is essential.

Key responsibilities

• As an SAP Authorizations and Security Architect, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy, design, and implementation of SAP authorizations and security across multiple SAP platforms, including the latest cloud environments.
• Serve as a member of cross-functional projects, providing expertise to resolve complex questions and supporting program-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of technical strategy and best practices for SAP authorizations design across multiple SAP instances, ensuring system compliance.
• Offer security and compliance guidance for project and process improvement initiatives, and direct ERP Center of Excellence teams in solution implementation.
• Act as a contributor to SAP authorization strategies and execution, and serve as a subject matter expert on GRC, user management, ITGC, and SOX controls activities.
• Coordinate authorization technical support, lead improvement initiatives related to authorizations, and support the organization in executing the established authorizations strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, architects, and developers, to gather and analyze authorization requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical and authorization designs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to authorization design.

Your profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience with SAP Authorizations, Security Design, and rollout/implementation projects.

• Proven hands-on experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, BI, and at least one end‑to‑end SAP Security design or implementation.

• Knowledge of SAP Cloud solutions (e.g., BTP, Datasphere, Ariba, Sol Man/Cloud ALM, IAG/IAM, HANA DB Security) is an advantage.

• Strong experience with SAP GRC, including SoD ruleset maintenance, risk remediation, and SOX audit/IT controls support.

• Experience in Life Sciences and familiarity with GxP-regulated environments is preferred.

• Experience with SOP development, documentation, testing strategies, and governance processes is preferred.

• Ability to independently manage multiple parallel projects, lead or support teams, and adapt to changing priorities in diverse environments.

• Holds a degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent, with strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills**.What we offer**
