About the role

Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Outcomes Research Director, Mid-Europe, to help shape and execute regional evidence strategies for our General and Specialty Medicine (GSM) portfolio, which includes cardiovascular diseases, immunology and ophthalmology together with our future pipeline.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will partner across global, regional, and country teams to translate global evidence strategies into actionable plans for Mid-Europe markets. You will play a critical role in advancing health economics, outcomes research, and real-world evidence initiatives that support access, reimbursement, tender submissions, and value demonstration for both inline and pipeline assets.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how evidence is generated, interpreted, and applied across a diverse and dynamic region, working closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Market Access, Policy, Marketing, and country affiliates to ensure our evidence strategy is aligned to local needs and healthcare decision-making.

The role can be based anywhere in Europe.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the translation of global Outcomes Research strategies into regional priorities and country-relevant execution plans for Mid-Europe.

  • Partner with global and regional stakeholders to deliver integrated evidence strategies that support value, access, and reimbursement goals.

  • Assess the HTA, reimbursement, and market access environment across Mid-Europe to identify evidence needs, barriers, and opportunities.

  • Shape and support evidence generation activities, including studies, models, publications, and strategic tools that strengthen the GSM value proposition.

  • Collaborate closely with country affiliates to support timely HTA and reimbursement submissions, tender responses, and local evidence needs.

  • Build Outcomes Research capability across the region by coaching and supporting local teams in evidence interpretation and local HEOR strategy.

  • Monitor scientific, methodological, and policy developments to ensure our approach remains forward-looking and competitive.

  • Represent GSM evidence internally and externally through scientific presentations, congress participation, and peer-reviewed publications.

What You Bring

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific, health economics, epidemiology, or related discipline; PhD preferred.

  • At least 5 years post-PhD or post-Master’s of relevant experience in health economics, outcomes research, market access, HTA, or a related field.

  • Deep understanding of HTA, reimbursement, and market access requirements in key European markets.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing clinical, epidemiological, or health economic studies.

  • Strong expertise in outcomes research, health services research, epidemiology, health economics, and/or HTA.

  • A strong track record of scientific publications and presentations.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Why Join Us

This is a senior opportunity to shape evidence strategy in a region of strategic importance, with real impact on patient access and healthcare decision-making.
