Axle & Engine Mount Development

Objective of Job:

Leading Axle components and Engine Mount development tasks in China in the Team Chassis.

• Overall responsible for newly developed and localized axle & engine mount development according to Mercedes-Benz Development System.
• Coordinating with RD HQ, suppliers, purchasing and quality for technical consulting, nomination, audit and supplier release.
• Leading technical discussions and internal/ external project meetings with suppliers and other departments.
• Releasing technical requirements including 3D model and 2D drawings to suppliers and related departments.
• Evaluating testing results and giving suspension component/ system release based on Mercedes-Benz requirement.

General Task Description:

• Development tasks for China specific content and open-source parts with modified design in the chassis incl. handling the decision-making process.
• Support engineering change implementation throughout product lifecycle of localized components of all locally produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles Localization tasks for locally produced parts incl. the support of supplier nomination, close collaboration with Stakeholder issue solving during hardware phases, etc.
• Technical alignment with Stakeholders in Germany.
• Coordinating with field quality organization.
• Cross-functional tasks based on business needs

Qualifications:

• Chassis technology knowledge
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Self-responsible working attitude and initiative
• High commitment for premium vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and quality
• Fluent English language skills
• Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office, CAx (Siemens NX)
• Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels
• Chinese native speaking skills preferred.
• Willingness to travel inside China and to Germany
• Overseas study or work experience preferred; German language preferred
