Exterior Systems Engineer (Roof) 天窗系统开发工程师

Job Objective

• Exterior Engineer on components like opening roof, glass roof with roller system.
• Develop roof components with suppliers, verify results in collaboration with R&D headquarter and in own vehicle test programs
• Enable exterior roof concept fit to the customers and contribute to the industrial competition
• Coordination and realization work for industrialization of MB passenger cars
• Support change management/plant and after sales part issue solving of Exterior parts of MB passenger cars

Task Description:

• Developing China specific parts and manage part localization projects from design-freeze to part release with handover to series production
• Evaluate and verify localized parts maturity as qualified components responsible person in China and serve as a contact person for both RD Germany and Joint Venture BBAC regarding technical issues
• Assist pilot runs, try outs and series productions of Mercedes-Benz cars at production plant with technical support and profound knowledge
• Support of the on-time introduction of local and imported parts for our current and future Mercedes-Benz projects in China
• Work together with cross-functional departments like product planning, quality, and logistics, set up project milestones as well as coordinate activities to pursue tight time schedules
• Take part in different technical and project meeting and present the result
• Fulfill requirements of homologation processes and introduce new parts successfully to Chinese market

Qualification:

Education:

-University degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or related directions

Experience:

--Minimum 3 years work experience on vehicle components/mechanical components etc.

• Specific Knowledge
• Solid CAD knowledge (Siemens NX preferable, at least very good knowledge of Catia/Pro E and willing to learn new CAD system)
• Technical knowledge on exterior components/electrical components are preferred
• Familiar with development process and production processes
• Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German is preferred
• Strong planning and organizational skills, supplier management skill
• Good communication skills and problem solving skill
• High commitment for automobiles and Self-responsible working attitude and initiative
• Willingness to travel domestic and abroad to prepare and support launches at suppliers
