Cell Engineer

Objective of Job:

• As a responsible engineer for lithium-ion battery cells you specify and develop lithium-ion cells from sourcing to series introduction.
• Life cycle management of lithium-ion cells.
• Contact and qualification with new and existing suppliers for lithium-ion cell.
• Active participations in the release relevant development process (Testing, FMEA, DFM…)
• Design of testcases as basis for development planning and execution (focus on development testing).
• Validation of the series production maturity of responsible components and functions by integration, function testing and validation.
• Failure analysis

Education:

• Completed university degree in chemistry, electrochemistry, material science or similar. Preferrable in the field of lithium-ion cell

Experience:

• 3-5 years working experience in lithium-ion cell industry regarding cell design / development for automotive applications
• Experience in cell production / process engineering as a plus

Specific knowledge

• Familiarity with lithium-ion cell design, cell validation as well as production processes
• Basic knowledge of energy system, module design as well as production
• Self-driven working attitude, able to speak up and drive own ideas
• Team player, openness to new methods from others
• Necessary computer skills and office applications, familiar with AI tools as a plus
• Fluent written/spoken Chinese and English, German beneficial
