A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the development and advancement of enterprise and portfolio-level pricing strategies aligned with Medtronic’s long-term business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership, providing executive-ready insights to support complex pricing and commercial decisions.
  • Drive pricing strategy for major product launches, capital programs, and strategic initiatives with material financial impact.
  • Own and advance the Forecast ASPs process within Integrated Business Planning (IBP), including scenario modeling and executive communication.
  • Develop advanced financial models to evaluate pricing programs, RFP responses, contract structures, rebates, capital programs, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex pricing, RFP, contract, and rebate structures, balancing growth, margin, and customer strategy.
  • Establish and influence adoption of best practices, standards, and methodologies in pricing analytics, forecasting, and margin optimization.
  • Lead highly complex and ambiguous analyses and special projects with significant business impact and visibility.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
  • Support governance and oversight of pricing programs and rebate administration, ensuring compliance with policies and controls.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting enterprise or portfolio-level pricing strategies.

· Experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and enterprise pricing systems.

· Medical device, healthcare, or regulated industry experience.

Principal-Level Expectations

· Recognized subject matter expert with enterprise-level impact.

· Operates with minimal direction; independently defines problems, scope, and solutions.

· Leads through influence, credibility, and expertise rather than formal authority.

· Shapes strategy and standards that drive sustained business impact.

Salary Range: $91,200 - $114,000

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level specialists.

Innovation and Complexity: **Problems and issues faced are difficult, moderately complex and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation.**Develops solutions to moderately complex problems, and/or makes moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products independently to enhance performance of job area.
Implements solutions to problems.

Communication and Influence: **Represents organization as a primary contact for specific projects and initiatives; communicates with internal and external customers and vendors at various levels.**May negotiate with others to reach understanding or agreement, and influence decision-making.

Leadership and Talent Management: **Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.**Typically manages major / moderately complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products, at times acting as a team leader.

Required Knowledge and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience in Pricing or Contracts or equivalent experience (OR Associate's Degree with 6+ years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree with 4+ years experience).
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
