The AI & Copilot Product Owner owns the strategy, backlog, and roadmap for enterprise Copilot and AI solutions.

This role works closely with business stakeholders, AI engineers, analytics leads, and platform teams to prioritize features, define value, and ensure successful delivery of AI-enabled capabilities.

The Product Owner ensures that Copilot solutions align with business needs, governance standards, and enterprise adoption goals, driving measurable productivity and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own the Copilot and AI product roadmap across business units.
• Define strategic objectives and success metrics for AI and Copilot initiatives.
• Align product strategy with business priorities, AI governance policies, and enterprise technology strategy.

Backlog Management

• Maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog for Copilot and AI solutions.
• Translate business requirements, user needs, and analytics insights into epics, features, and user stories.
• Ensure backlog items are well-defined, actionable, and deliver maximum value.

Value Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define use cases, success metrics, and adoption goals.
• Work with AI engineers and platform teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and meet business objectives.
• Act as the voice of the business to guide feature development, enhancements, and iterations.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure all AI and Copilot initiatives adhere to enterprise governance, compliance, and responsible AI guidelines.
• Participate in review processes, risk assessments, and approval cycles for AI solutions.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor adoption, usage, and business impact of AI solutions.
• Use analytics and feedback to inform roadmap adjustments and future prioritization.
• Drive continuous improvement and scaling of Copilot solutions across the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Must have skills:

• 5+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally in technology, AI, or enterprise software.
• Experience defining and managing backlogs, roadmaps, and delivering value for digital or AI products.
• Strong understanding of AI, Copilot, and workflow automation technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business and technical teams.
• Experience in enterprise AI adoption, digital transformation, or workflow automation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, or other generative AI solutions.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and enterprise technology delivery

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $81,500 - $108,600
