What You’ll Do

  • Deliver person-centered nursing care in alignment with Mayo Clinic standards.
  • Monitor and manage residents’ health needs across multiple care settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Accurately document skilled interventions to reflect clinical judgement and resident needs.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications:

To participate in this event and be considered for the RN or LPN positions, you must meet the following requirements:

Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited associate's degree or diploma program.
    If graduated from a nursing program that was not accredited by ACEN, at least one year of RN experience (within the last five years) in an applicable care setting is required.
    If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required.
  • Minnesota Registered Nurse License; active on the Minnesota Board of Nursing Registry.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers (Must be certified by one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
  • Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license; active on the Minnesota Board of Nursing Registry.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (must come from one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network).

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program (e.g., some states allow RN students to take the LPN board exam after completing one to two years in the RN program).

If graduation has not occurred within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required.

  • Minnesota Licensed Practice Nurse license; active on the Minnesota Board of Nursing Registry.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers (must come from one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network).

Additional Qualifications

  • One year of work experience in Long Term Care or Home Health or two years of acute care nursing is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and resident-centered care.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of residents and employees.
  • Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
  • Works flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. LPN: $26.45 - $38.37 per hour RN: $34.60 - $50.67 per hour

Schedule Details

  • 12-hour shifts (day and night) with weekend rotation, giving you the opportunity to work fewer days while maintaining the same number of hours. Design your own work week - self-scheduling available. Day Shift: 6:00 a.m.
  • 6:30 p.m. Night Shift: 6:00 p.m.
  • 6:30 a.m.

Weekend Schedule

Every third weekend.
