Responsibilities

A Neurophysiology trainee is an employee within the Mayo Clinic organization who has been identified as having the professional qualities, aptitude and learning skills required to pursue a Neurophysiology technology position. The incumbent is responsible for the observation and hands-on experience of Neurodiagnostic testings, and will perform testings with the mentorship and support of experienced technologists. This is an entry level position expected to transition into the Neuro Tech I position once requirements are met with a 2 year maximum training period to become registry eligible on any of the Neurophysiology modalities. Training on any of the following EMG/NCV, EEG, or Autonomic Testing.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Associate's degree preferred
Prior related healthcare experience preferred. Current employee in the Mayo Clinic system preferred.

Basic Life Support Certification (required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date) as well as maintenance of Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
RNCST, REEGT, or CAP obtained within 24 months from date of hire.
