Responsibilities Mayo Clinic is excited to offer an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our GI Oncology team. In this role, you will work with MDs, other PAs/NPs, and providing direction to various allied health staff. You will work five days a week alongside six physicians and one advanced practice provider, allowing you to work at the highest level of your education and expertise.

Responsibilities:

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Mayo Clinic, you will perform a variety of tasks, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments
• Ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Formulating a diagnostic impression
• Developing and implementing a treatment plan
• Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
• Prescribing pharmacological agents and treatments
• Implementing non-pharmacological therapies
• Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs

**QualificationsNew Grads will not be considered at this time. 1-2 years of NP/PA Oncology experience preferred.Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP, ANP or AGPCNP.

Physician Assistant:

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.

Additional Qualifications:

Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
