Responsibilities

The Lumens Team within the EHRT Procedural & Specialty Systems Unit is seeking two (2) IT Application Analysts to support the operations, maintenance, and growing complexity of Epic Lumens functionality.

Epic Lumens is an Epic module supporting Gastroenterology practice. It has been recently implemented across the Mayo Clinic enterprise and is highly integrated with the enterprise imaging repository and other Epic clinical applications. These integrations require complex system build as well as strong partnerships with Informatics and clinical practice liaisons.

This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, sound judgment and decision-making ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.

Prior Epic build and application support experience is preferred. Experience supporting case (surgical) and/or appointment-based procedures, image integration, orders, charging, security, macros, and secondary Smart Form build is ideal. Prior experience working with gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopic practice is also preferred.

Candidates with Epic certification are strongly desired, preferably in Epic Lumens, Epic Radiant, and/or Epic Op Time. In lieu of certification at time of hire, the selected candidate must obtain Epic Lumens certification within 3–6 months of hire.

Supports software programs or modules across multiple clinical and/or business functions. Understands the business environment and the impact IT can have on the business environment. Provides analysis and support for installed systems as well as system implementation and integration projects that require systems analysis, design, testing and implementation for specific modules or applications.

Maintains knowledge of existing systems and is certified in the vended application, as required. Configures, designs, develops, or modifies applications via vendor tools or augmented tools developed within Mayo Clinic and is able to validate data integrity of changes introduced. Resolves customer problems with software and responds to requested improvements and enhancements.

Research requests to determine scope, size and impact. Works with customers to elicit requirements through a variety of techniques. Validates requirement information with customers to ensure completeness, correctness, and clarity. Validates the developed solution to ensure it satisfies the stated requirements.

Functions as a liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas during the planning process. Builds credibility and rapport with customers to understand their needs.

Manages small- to mid-sized projects. Contributes to software testing activities.

May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience in business analysis. Vendor application certification may be required.

This is a full-time hybrid position. The successful candidate must live or relocate within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus, with an expectation of being on campus approximately 5% of the time.This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.
