Job Overview:

This position has responsibility for facilitating People & Capability (P&C) (Human Resources) related activities within Master Card, Pune. Responsibilities include implementation of P&C initiatives, and core human resources activities. The senior people specialist will have to manage elements of cross-function projects, data analytics, consultant and business advisor. The individual in this role will need to work in close collaboration with assigned Business Units and Regional colleagues to execute on initiatives.
Major Accountabilities:

  • Supports and manages People and Capability initiatives and projects including workforce planning, rewards, employee engagement and training
  • Manages timely coordination and execution of day-to-day People and Capability activities by working with key stakeholders across the business
  • Creates reports to support People and Capability program recommendations and track costs and performance of programs
  • Leads crucial People and Capability activities including new hire orientation, off boarding, maintaining employee records, and visa coordination
  • Partners with employees, managers and leaders across Business Units, markets or regions to develop and deploy People and Capability best practices
  • Conducts analysis of People and Capability metrics and summarizes findings and implications

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree and/or certification in HR preferred
  • Core knowledge of HR principles, theories and concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives exercising sound judgment, solutions orientation and flexibility
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work cross functionally and across multiple geographies
  • Must have good influencing skills
  • Must have strong analytical, presentation, verbal and written communications skills
  • Previous experience managing HR initiatives for innovation and technology functions preferred
