About Mastercard Agent Suite:

Mastercard Agent Suite is Mastercard's global product for building, testing, and deploying agentic AI in enterprise operations — pulling through Mastercard's payments expertise, proprietary technology, and insights directly into our clients' infrastructure. As agentic AI moves from experimentation to production, Mastercard occupies a unique position: the trust, the network, the insights, and the advisory depth to make this transition safe and consequential for the world's leading financial institutions. Agent Suite Solutions Enablement team is at the forefront of this effort. We are in the early stages of an Agent Suite Services capability that will define how agentic AI is deployed at enterprise scale. Those who join now are not inheriting a playbook — they are writing it, at a pivotal moment in the history of AI and commerce.

The Role:

As Solutions Architect at Director level, you are Mastercard's most forward-deployed technical authority. You operate at the intersection of Mastercard's asset portfolio and the client's real infrastructure — not in theory, but in production. You design agentic systems that are robust, compliant, and built to strengthen over time. You make the promise of Agent Suite credible, buildable, and deliverable.

This is a player-coach role within a guild-model team. You carry your own engagements while contributing to the collective intelligence of Agent Suite Services — sharing signal from the field, building reusable patterns, and enabling a global community of colleagues to develop their own depth.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and Support Deployment

  • Design and support deployment agentic AI systems inside client infrastructure — cloud agnostic, data platform agnostic, LLM agnostic, and compliant with multiple regulatory environments — that pull through Mastercard assets and integrate with the client's broader agentic agenda

  • Translate Mastercard's technology platforms, payments intelligence, and advisory capabilities into working architectures that a client CTO can trust and a client CFO can justify

  • Own technical solutioning from discovery and architecture through validated proof of concept, working in close partnership with the Technical Program Manager who assumes primary delivery accountability from POC sign-off through production

  • Build systems designed for robustness and resilience — with full auditability, appropriate guardrails, and clear visibility and observability throughout

  • Sense and Signal

  • Serve as one of Mastercard's most credible sources of agentic AI market intelligence — embedded with clients, continuously learning, and disciplined in separating signal from noise

  • Provide structured feedback to product, engineering, GTM, and partnerships on deployment outcomes, emerging client requirements, and proactive risk and opportunity detection across the ecosystem

  • Develop deep subject matter expertise across Mastercard's Agent Suite solutions, complemented by a strong intuition for the broader payments ecosystem and Mastercard's overall capabilities — including the gaps the market will demand next

  • Contribute to the shared knowledge base of Agent Suite Services by building reusable reference architectures, integration patterns, and delivery accelerators

  • Navigate and Collaborate

  • Operate with effectiveness and composure in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where Strategy, GTM, Product Design, Operations, and Partnerships are evolving simultaneously — and where the ability to build consensus and find common ground is as important as technical excellence

  • Contribute to pre-sales technical conversations as the voice that makes the solution credible — then remain engaged through delivery as the technical authority that ensures that credibility is earned in practice

Technical Requirements:

  • 8+ years in solutions architecture, technical consulting, or forward-deployed engineering — ideally within fintech, payments, or enterprise AI platforms
  • Hands-on experience architecting integrations with core banking systems, ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday), or treasury management systems
  • Strong command of API design, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native deployment across at least two major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Deep familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, protocols, and orchestration patterns — including Lang Chain, Auto Gen, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or equivalent — with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs, minimize inference costs, apply context engineering principles, and establish clear observability and monitoring frameworks across agentic deployments
  • Professional fluency in English, with mandatory fluency in the local language of the market for which the candidate is being considered

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Familiarity with key regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to AI deployment in financial services — including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and PCI-DSS — as well as equivalent national and regional frameworks in the markets served
  • Experience with Mastercard APIs, open banking standards, or ISO 20022 payment messaging
  • A domain of genuine depth — a professional "minor" — that complements the team's collective capability: security architecture, financial data modelling, conversational AI, context engineering and agent orchestration, regulatory technology, or another critical dimension of the agentic value chain
  • Diversity of thought grounded in real experience across different regulatory contexts, technology stacks, and cultural understandings of how trust is built and sustained
