The Treasury function at Mastercard is responsible for safeguarding and optimizing the company’s financial resources globally. Within Treasury, the Global Settlement Services team manages the movement of funds related to Mastercard transactions, maintains relationships with commercial and central settlement bank partners, engages with regulatory bodies and ensures operational excellence across all settlement activities. The team facilitates settlement of ~$25 billion daily activity in 80+ currencies.
This Senior Business Analyst – Settlement, Treasury role based in India is a high impact role within Mastercard’s Treasury organization and supports implementation of Settlement projects in Asia Pacific region, along with key global responsibilities for settlement invoice processing and settlement bank accounts maintenance.
This is a high visibility individual contributor role supporting the implementation of critical Settlement projects for Asia Pacific region and working closely with various internal stakeholders and external bank partners. The wide scope of activities makes this an ideal role for learning Mastercard Treasury and the broader settlement function.
Key Responsibilities:

Support APAC liquidity roadmap by helping define and implement solutions in coordination with Settlement Operations and Mastercard’s settlement bank partners.

Support execution of regional settlement projects in collaboration with the global team on strategic efforts such as introducing new settlement services in Asia Pacific region.

For tech integrations with bank partners, including liquidity providers, deliver high quality business and functional requirements to the technical teams for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the Development Life Cycle.

Deliver in-depth and comprehensive financial, operational, customer and high level systems analysis to evaluate settlement risk and propose mitigating solutions for proposed new and enhanced systems and products. Ensure development objectives are accomplished; user testing is performed; and member notification is prepared in a timely fashion.

Own and lead settlement invoice processing, including the onboarding of new vendors, routing invoices for approval and payment, resolving processing issues, and supporting internal and external research requests.

Manage bank account maintenance tasks in partnership with GBSC Bank Administration team, including signatory changes, account closures, ongoing KYC requirements, and coordination of the annual account review process.

Support the weekend settlement process basis rostering schedule. This role supports Asia Pacific Settlement Operations team that may require individuals to work on weekends basis rotational shifts that are rostered by Manager / Director – Settlement Operations.

All About You
-
Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Management Information Systems; Professional qualifications like CTP, CFP preferred.

Medium to high degree of expertise in Treasury settlements / payment operations / reconciliations and banking gained through experiences in multinational corporates’ Regional/Global Treasury centers, financial institutions or banks.

Strong Project Management experience

Ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams to drive alignment and execute against shared goals

Experience working in a time-sensitive environment. Must enjoy daily critical operations in payments domain with non-negotiable banking cut-offs.

Exposure to finance industry tools and electronic banking systems is advantageous.

Strong analytical skills.

Position requires individual with flexibility and professional maturity to support the business needs of a global organization with critical 24/7 operations.
