Job Summary:

Summary:

Responsible for providing excellent customer service in a healthcare facility. Verifying accurate demographic and insurance information, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

-Greet patients and provide a warm and welcoming environment during the check-in process.

-Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits by following established procedures and guidelines.

-Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, and visitors.

-Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries, provide accurate information, and address concerns or complaints in a professional manner.

-Schedule patients for various therapy appointments. Answering phone and responding inquiries from patients and staff.

Perform the check-in process including collecting co-payments, verifying insurance and scheduling additional appointments.

One to two evening shifts per week until 8pm required

Experience:

Experience in patient registration, customer service, or a related healthcare administrative role. 1-2 years preferred

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and registration software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in using office software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
