Job Summary:
This position supports the Frozen Section Laboratory by managing daily workflow and handling surgical pathology cases from start to finish. Responsibilities include tissue procurement for research, specimen accessioning, dissection, sampling, and writing gross descriptions for pathology reports. The role ensures research samples are collected without impacting patient diagnoses, maintains lab quality and safety standards, and supports training for students and residents.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Pathology required or Master’s Degree as a Pathologists’ Assistant preferred
- 2–3 years of Pathologists’ Assistant experience
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, tumor staging, and surgical specimens
- High technical expertise with the ability to work independently

- Demonstrates the highest level of technical expertise.
- Must be able to make independent, effective decisions in appropriate situations.
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 pounds.
