Job Summary

Summary:

Responsible for assisting with patient care including organization, clean-up of treatment areas, and office duties as needed under the direction of a Physical Therapist or supervisor.

Essential Functions
-Assists therapists and assistants with patient care.

-Assists in daily upkeep of physical environment, linen, and equipment maintenance.

-Meets regularly with Rehab staff to update therapy programs and assess effectiveness.

-Is alert for patient safety at all times.

-Cleans therapy mats daily utilizing established departmental procedures.

-Assist the Rehabilitation Therapist with treatment as directed.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Grace Period for License Eligibility Massachusetts
• MGB Internal preferred Experience In doctoral program and completing final internship 0-1 year required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to organize/prioritize.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to assist with medical examinations and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
