36-hours a week, day/night rotation including weekends and holidays required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of acute care RN experience. Preference given to those with oncology RN experience.

The Registered Nurse on Lunder 10 provides expert, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with hematologic malignancies and those undergoing bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, clinical trials and other advanced oncology treatments. This nurse is accountable for interpreting and carrying out the plan of care, completing comprehensive patient assessments, exercising sound clinical judgment, and delivering safe, individualized nursing care to a complex patient population. The RN collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team to monitor patient status, manage treatment-related toxicities, support patients and families through intensive therapies, and evaluate patient outcomes.

RN's Deliver safe, skilled, and compassionate nursing care to patients with hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy and targeted therapy, glioblastoma, melanoma and other inpatient oncology needs.

Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial status. Interpret the medical plan of care and use clinical judgment to prioritize, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions.

Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, supportive medications, and other prescribed treatments in accordance with institutional policies and safety standards.

Monitor for and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition, treatment-related toxicities, infusion reactions, and oncologic emergencies.
Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, patient responses, and clinical events.
Record and trend patients’ vital signs, laboratory values, intake/output, symptoms, and other relevant clinical data.

Communicate significant changes in condition promptly to the appropriate provider and interdisciplinary team members. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, case managers, social workers, and other team members to coordinate and evaluate patient care plans.

Modify and individualize nursing care based on patient response, evolving clinical needs, and established standards of care.

Provide patient and family education related to diagnosis, treatment plan, symptom management, central line care, infection prevention, discharge planning, and self-care needs.

Support patients and families through complex and emotionally demanding treatment courses with professionalism, empathy, and strong communication.
Follow unit, departmental, and hospital policies related to patient safety, infection prevention, medication administration, and high-risk oncology care.
Safely care for patients with central venous access devices, complex medication regimens, immunocompromised states, and high acuity nursing needs.

Participate in bedside handoff, interdisciplinary rounds, and unit-based quality and safety initiatives.
Serve as a resource and mentor to newer nurses and support a collaborative team environment.
