Job Summary
We are currently hiring a full-time, 40-hour Phlebotomist to work on site at 323 Lowell Street in Andover Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire quality blood samples through various phlebotomy techniques for patients across all age groups.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens.
- Assist in the recovery of patients experiencing adverse reactions and provide rapid response to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting.
- Communicate effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer happiness.
- Manage sharps and biohazardous materials following regulatory guidelines to protect the safety of patients and staff.
- Work fluently with computer programs and systems, and align with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred
Licenses and Credentials:
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License (Massachusetts)
