Job Summary
Join the Santagata Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) as a Technical Research Assistant I.
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team in using cutting-edge molecular tissue imaging and quantitative assay methods to study tumor development, therapy resistance, and disease mechanisms in patient samples across a range of cancers. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work at the interface of biological chemistry, molecular imaging, and clinical research, contributing to the development of new cancer therapies and diagnostics.
Qualifications
-
You will be based in Dr. Sandro Santagata’s laboratory and collaborate closely with Dr. Peter Sorger’s multidisciplinary team at Harvard Medical School’s (HMS) Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology (LSP) (https://www.tissue-atlas.org/), as well as with members of Ludwig Cancer Research, the David Liposarcoma Research Initiative, the Bertarelli Rare Cancer Initiative and the Pituitary Neuroendocrine Tumor Translational Research (BioPitNeT).
-
Engage with a vibrant network of scientists, physicians, chemists, and computational biologists across institutions including BWH, HMS, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Ludwig Center at Harvard, as well as collaborators nationwide.
-
Contribute directly to research that informs innovative clinical trials for immunotherapy and targeted therapies for sarcomas, gliomas, carcinomas, and neuroendocrine-related tumors. Investigate disease mechanisms and pharmacodynamics (PD) to support biomarker and drug development. Opportunities are also available to participate in studies of pulmonary and renal diseases.
This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team at the forefront of quantitative biology and translational pathology. You will gain hands-on experience with high-dimensional pathology imaging, molecular assay development, data processing, computational analysis, and visualization, while contributing to high-impact translational research that can change how cancers and other diseases are diagnosed and treated.
If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for innovative biomedical research and collaborative projects, we encourage you to apply and become a key member of our vibrant team.
