Additional Job Details (if applicable)
The Research Engineer is a fully onsite, hands-on position supporting the mission of the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, a globally recognized leader in biomedical imaging, translational research, and technology development. The Center develops and applies advanced imaging technologies—including MRI, MRS, MEG, EEG, PET, diffuse optical imaging, molecular imaging, and transcranial magnetic stimulation—to advance understanding of human biology, brain function, and disease.
Under the direction of the Director of the Human Imaging Core and individual principal investigators at the Martinos Center, the Research Engineer will play a key role in advancing MRI hardware through the design, construction, and maintenance of systems operating at 3T and 7T field strengths, including customized RF coils and related instrumentation.
