As part of the Software Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Europe to develop robust, scalable solutions for trading and portfolio management, working directly with business stakeholders and contributing to a dynamic, innovative technology environment. We will count on you to:
- Deliver complete software solutions using best practices to ensure performance and reliability.
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into compatible software solutions.
- Develop a strong understanding of financial markets to engage effectively with business partners.
- Collaborate with DataOps, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure projects use the most appropriate technologies.
- Participate in production support, including monitoring and managing applications, APIs, overnight batches, and data feeds.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
- Represent the firm’s engineering brand through industry engagement (meetups, conferences, blogging, open source).
- Contribute to a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong Python skills, with production experience in building API services and microservices.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; ability to write performant queries.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (or a strong desire to learn).
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Hive, Apache Nifi, Apache Airflow) is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to learn and support C#/.NET applications as needed, with new development focused on Python.
