The Marsh Risk Graduate Program has been designed with this in mind: to start a permanent contract with an intensive 18-month experience, aiming at attracting and developing the next generation of leaders. From day one, you will take on real responsibility as you develop your knowledge and skills, tackle real projects, and work with our clients.

Construction is an essential industry for the global economy and activity in the sector is constant.

There will always be a need for the renewal of existing and the creation of new infrastructure. But as the build cycle is often driven by socio-economic factors, it can be quite volatile. Construction companies need to have an acute awareness of current and emerging risk issues and be able to respond quickly to changing circumstances.

Digitalization, climate risks, rising construction costs, and supply chain choke points are some of the current challenges shaping construction companies’ risk profiles. Understanding their impact allows for the design of a considered risk management framework that balances an organization’s retention, management, and transfer needs.

About the role:

When joining our Construction team, as a graduate client advisor, you will be in charge of managing insurance and providing advice on risk for clients about their construction projects. (advising clients about their policies, negotiate new one if necessary with the insurer, handle some claims and provide ongoing servicing to keeps clients confident, informed, and protected as their needs evolve)

What you need to have:

• Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills

• Fluent in English and Dutch (French is a plus)

• An engineering degree ((civil engineer, electro-mechanical …) or Architect degree is a plus

• Interest for insurance brooking

• Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships

• Adaptability and learning agility

• Results-oriented
